I’d the dancing lady.
Ahh faire enough …
Ahh faire enough not as insane as it looks then does the job
the ‘rackmount feed …
the ‘rackmount feed patches’ is actually a modular analogue synthesizer which creates most of the bleeps and lead lines
I think it’s made mostly of Doepfer modules
the Macbook is running Ableton which holds samples, percussion and MIDI clock info although they never touch it, only trigger it with a Korg keyboard controller
the Mackie mixer just controls levels and EQ so they can bring things in and out on the fly
that sends ONE stereo signal out to the sound desk at the venue
More like simian …
More like simian mobile studio!
Is one guy just …

what i especially love about them, don’t get me wrong i love justice, ed bangers institubes, etc. but simian mobile disco uses so much improv, that just makes them so much better, they are unpredictable
They sure have A …

I was hoping they …
I was hoping they would perform out of an ice cream truck or something… you know, a MOBILE DISCO!!!!
I think the modular …
I think the modular mostly consists of Analogue Systems modules, with a few Doepfer modules thrown in for good measure.
In “its the beat” that squeeky single note that bounces along throughout is the Korg ms-20, which is well known for its over driving filter (which mr. ozio put to good use in analog worms)
They also use a lot of external FX, like at the start 0:25 , the pitch change effect is a Electro Harmonix Memory Man.
